Dividing her time between the mossy rain of Seattle and the rolling plains of Colorado, Crystal Hatfield deconstructs and then reconstructs language for fun. Current projects include investigative descents into how language shapes and expresses our ideas of race and gender, clothing designs that draw attention to and questions stereotypes, as well as photographical ventures documenting urban growth and the changes of the modern city.
